Hey it’s coach here again.
I posted this message to our Facebook Page:
“Huwag papasok sa negosyong barya lang kikitain. Sayang lang oras mo.”
Interesting enough, I received many negative feedback like this one:
Hindi naman ako nainis or nagalit in anyway. First, di ako “Shunga” kasi lalaki ako. So dapat “Shungo” di ba? Hahaha
Seryoso na.
When people started to talk about how Chinese build business using a “tinge-tinge” strategy, naisip ko that not many people understand the difference between Profit (Tubo) vs. Income (Kita).
Some businesses, maliit man ang “tubo” for each sale but they sell in bulk, they still make BIG income in the end.
My friend, you don’t want to start a business na mapapagod ka lang sa liit ng kita.
I guess the first thing you need to know is…”how much money you want to make from the business you want to start?”
Look, kung gusto mong kumita ng P250,000 per month, well baka ang maliit na sari-sari store sa tapat ng bahay mo is not the right business or vehicle for you.
And that’s what I’m trying to say in my Facebook post.
Hindi lahat ng business opportunity na dumating e dapat mong i-grab. Sometimes, you have to say no.
But here’s the thing.
You’ll NEVER know what the right business is for you unless you know exactly what you want.
When I was still a “corporate slave” I made a decision that if I’ll start a business, I want a business that can potentially give me at least five times my salary as an employee.
Listen, I’m not saying na kailangan mo kumita agad ng malakihan as soon as you start. Every big business started small.
But you should know the income potential of the business na papasukin mo.
If you like your job and simply want an extra income, then a freelancing gig may work.
Kung gusto mo naman kumita ng 1 Million per month someday, then may tama ding negosyo para dun.
The more specific you are on what kind of income and lifestyle you want, the better.
Again, when I was still an employee and planning my escape from 8 to 5 job, one of things that I want for a business is the freedom to work anywhere and anytime that I want to.
I realized kasi that I’m more productive early morning and evening. So I want a business na walang restrictions sa oras.
This led me to launching online businesses.
In fact, I’m writing this email at McDonalds.
You see, it’s not an accident that I’m at McDo and writing this email to you. I designed this lifestyle business. Years ago, I already envisioned that this moment will happen. And IT DID!
Now, my challenge to you is this…”Do you know specifically what you want?”
“Do you have specific amount of income in your mind that you want to make from a business?”
If not, it’s time to pause and design your life right now. Get a pen and a nice notebook and start dreaming and planning.
Remember, you only have one life to live.
To your freedom,
Jon Orana
