Business tips to escape your 9 to 5 job...safely.
Recently an old friend posted this quote in Facebook…
“Hindi importante and sobrang daming pera…ang importante may masayang pamilya.”
Please read the above sentence again.
Now, maybe 99% of us will agree on this sentence.
It reminds us that family should always be first and I agree 100%. I’m a husband/father first.
BUT…there’s also something wrong with that quote.
In English term it’s called “presupposition.”
Meaning, there’s an implicit assumption. Meron syang assumption that having “lots of money” isn’t right.
It’s like asking you to make a tough decision between “money” or “family.”
My question to you is this…
Can’t you have both? Have a hefty bank account and a happy family?
Listen, you don’t have to choose between the two. Put your family first but pursue wealth and independence.
Oh by the way, who will benefit FIRST once you have wealth?
My guess your answer will be “My family. My kids. My close friends.”
Friend, be careful with what you read and what you feed your mind.
In my upcoming business course “First Steps To Freedom” I will not only teach you how to start a profitable business but also how to break all the limiting beliefs that’s holding you back.
Truth is, you already have the capability to become a successful entrepreneur.
But unless you replace these limiting beliefs with a positive new ones you’ll continue to struggle.
Last year I celebrated my 36th birthday in Boracay.
Guess who I’m with in that 4-day celebration?
Seven of my best friends. I paid for their plane tickets and hotel.
That is what having both money and a happy family.
You can have both. You don’t have to choose.
I was asked…”Sir, pano ba magsimula ng negosyo? Parang ang hirap.”
First, anyone who says starting a business is easy is a liar.
Kung madali then most people are entrepreneurs.
Kung madali kumita ng pera e di lahat tayo mayaman na.
Right?
Business building and wealth creation requires certain skills.
And like most skills it will take some time to develop.
The key is you must stick to it no matter how hard it is.
Let me ask you this…
Do you know how to play a guitar? If not, have you at least once tried to play a guitar?
You can probably still remember how difficult it is in the beginning.
Masakit sa kamay, kalyo sa daliri, patay na tunog. It’s not easy.
But once your guitar skill has been developed, you can now play pretty much all the songs that you want.
It’s the same principle in business building and wealth creation.
This is the reason why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
The rich understands this wealth formula:
P + RS = S
Perseverance + Right Skills = Success.
Listen, you can blame the government and the corrupt system all you want but that won’t make you rich.
Besides, those are outside of your control. Blaming never changed anything.
Develop the necessary skills for your business and stick to it.
Mind your OWN business.
Soon, we will meet at the top celebrating our success.

One of my favorite teachers is Mr. Jim Rohn.
He’s an American entrepreneur, author, and motivational speaker.
His rags to riches story played a large part in his work, which influenced others in the personal development industry.
Too bad he’s not with us anymore.
But he left an impact in my life.
Particularly when I heard him say…
“Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune.”
That made me hungry to learn more about business and life.
Listen, you shouldn’t stop educating and improving yourself.
There’s always room for growth.
There are books, CDs, videos, and the Internet to feed your mind. There’s no more excuse for anyone not to learn something new.
My buddy Fitz Villafuerte mentioned to me his very first seminar on investing. He’s an experienced investor and just like me he escaped the corporate world.
We’re now both enjoying the freedom!
Having both time and money.
Investing is one of the BEST way for you to leverage time and create wealth.
Best thing is, this course is perfect for beginners.

In one summer vacation we visited some friends in Los Angeles California. They have an outdoor swimming pool and my then 4 years old son Paulo had fun in their pool.
I’m not sure what’s special with that pool but my son love it.
One afternoon after our vacation, my son and I were watching TV and I asked him, “Son, if we’ll build a new house, how many swimming pools do you want to have?”
“Daddy, I want two swimming pools.” He replied and then paused for a second.
“No, no, I want three swimming pools. One for you, for mommy, and one for me.” He added.
Immediately, I was reminded of a verse in the Bible about “Child Like Faith.”
If you’ll ask an adult the same question “How many swimming pools do you want to have?”, you’ll surely get a sarcastic reply or something like…
“Bath tub nga wala ka, swimming pool pa.”
Don’t believe me?
Try it, ask your spouse or friend the same question. 🙂
My point is this, in starting your own business you’ll need to have a Child Like Faith.
Frankly, a lot of corporate employees would like to start their own business but they don’t have the faith at all in their ideas and capabilities.
They’ll excitedly tell you about their GREAT business idea but if you’ll ask them what are they doing with that idea they’ll immediately tell you 100 reasons why they can’t execute it.
That’s why these people are still in their corporate job making someone else wealthy instead of themselves.
Remember this, it’s not the business idea that matters but the execution of the idea. You actually don’t need a brilliant idea to succeed in business. Most successful businesses are neither great nor creative at all when they started.
So don’t be just the “idea” guy but be someone that makes things happen.
Lastly, have faith in yourself and to God who created you.
