In the past couple of years I met many Pinoys.
People who love to start a business. They normally say…
- I hate waking up by my alarm clock.
- I hate going through 2 hours of traffic in EDSA.
- I hate corporate politics that we at the bottom, seems like, always the victims.
- I hate the cubicle world.
“Hate” is an emotional word.
And I’ll say it’s not necessarily bad. Depende kung anong hate mo really.
Kung hate mo mukha mo…well. That’s a different story.
Hate can be a good thing.
In my observation, people who can’t seem to breakthrough in business and finances are those who settle. They settle being an average. Average income. Average lifestyle. Average life.
They don’t like where they are. But they’re not willing to go anywhere either.
In short, they are “OK.”
“Ok naman kita ko e. Nakakatawid sa pang araw-araw.”
“Ok naman ang trabaho ko e. Stable naman ang company.”
“May mga gusto akong marating sa buhay pero…OK naman ako.”
FACT: Being “OK” is the enemy of success.
Instead, use “hate” as a motivation for you to pursue your dream business. Yes, maybe it’s too strong word but hate or dissatisfaction is a gem.
You NEED to become emotional about your current situation for you to take action.
Think about this. Nung minsang nag decide ka mag diet. What happened before that?
Di ba you looked at the mirror and you “hate” how you look? Yung tipong, mukha ka ng suman sa dress or blouse mo.
You “hate” that you can’t breathe anymore wearing your favorite Levis jeans.
You “hate” when your friends can’t help but be honest and say…”Friend, bawas bawas din ng kanin pag may time.”
You “hate” when you look like a siopao asado in the picture that you untag yourself from your friend’s picture on Facebook.
You see, hating where you are while moving forward where you want to go can be a good thing.
But you can’t just hate and do nothing. That will be a miserable life.
Hate where you are and be specific on where you want to go.
Ask yourself these questions:
What kind of business do I really like?
How much monthly income I’m hoping to get from it?
What kind my day will be like while running my business?
In short, Dissatisfaction + Direction = Better Life.
To your freedom,
It was february of 2013 when I quit my job. I remember chinese new year yun. Kailangan kong pumasok kasi maraming trabaho sa restaurant na pinapasukan ko.(dishwasher ako)While walking going to my work,I thought new year na naman pero ito pa rin ako, walang pagbabago. I hated the feeling of doing the same thing for the next how many years, I don’t know, that right then and there I quit my job. Hindi na uli ako pumasok mula noon. To make this long story short. Here I am now, I have my own laundry shop. And now I’m thinking of starting my own blog.
Hi katherine! Galing mo. Sana maging successful tayong lahat na business minded at Madiskarte. God Bless!
